Job seekers/candidates: Your personal data and how we process it

When you apply for a job through our website or otherwise, you are asked to accept RARE people’s Cookie and Privacy Policy and thereby consent to the processing of your personal data. If you do not provide consent, unfortunately we cannot assist you with your job search.

The personal data you provide as part of our recruitment process, such as when submitting your CV or completing your candidate profile on our recruitment platform, will only be processed and stored for the purpose of conducting recruitment processes. The purpose is to evaluate your qualifications for recruitment on behalf of our clients.

Most personal data is collected directly from the candidate, typically via a CV or similar, including:

  • Name

  • Address and contact details

  • Date of birth

  • Career history

As part of the recruitment process, we conduct interviews during which we collect personal data. Only necessary and relevant information will be processed and used to evaluate whether a candidate is qualified for further interviews and potentially meetings with the employer (client).

As a data processor, RARE people collects and processes personal data from candidates in order to:

  • Carry out the requested recruitment process

  • Deliver the service RARE people has committed to providing to the client (employer), including selecting suitable candidates

  • Update user profiles to better match relevant job opportunities

To provide our services, it is necessary to share relevant personal data with trusted third parties such as IT service providers and web providers. We only use data processors that provide sufficient guarantees of appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure compliance with applicable data protection laws, including protection of data subjects’ rights.

We use third-party data processors for IT services and personality assessments.

We do not share your personal data with processors outside the EU/EEA, nor with processors who wish to use your data for marketing purposes.

Employers: Your information and how we use it

When you contact us regarding a potential collaboration, we register information about you, including but not limited to:

  • Your job title

  • Your professional contact details, including your email address

  • Your company/organization

We collect this information in order to:

  • Deliver the agreed service

Storage of personal data

Before collecting personal data, RARE people asks for your consent to store your CV for 2 years and other data via our platform for 5 years, after which it is deleted unless you renew or extend consent.

Where required by Danish law (e.g. accounting laws), certain data may be retained longer.

Your rights

You have the right to:
